My Beliefs

JESUS CHRIST

I believe in the absolute Deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that as man He was miraculously begotten of the Holy Ghost (Matt. 1:20) and born of the virgin, Mary (Is. 7:14).

GOD THE FATHER

God the Father sent and gave the Son to be our Savior (Jn. 3:16). He sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter. He is the Giver of every good and perfect gift; He is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort (II Cor. 1:3).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

I believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person (Jn. 14:16,17), the source and power of all acceptable worship and service, and our abiding Comforter and Helper (Jn. 15:26).

THE FALL OF MAN

I believe that man, originally created in the image and after the likeness of God (Gen.1:26), fell by eating the forbidden fruit, becoming dead in his trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:5).

SALVATION

I believe that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless born again (Jn. 3:3-5). I believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:7). I believe that Christ is received by repentance and faith alone (Acts17:30).

THE CHURCH

I believe that the Church, which is His Body, is composed of all who are united by the Holy Spirit to the risen and ascended Son of God (Eph. 2:22,23).

THE SCRIPTURES

I believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16,17; II Pet. 1:21).

SATAN

I believe that Satan is the enemy of God, that he is destined to final defeat at the hands of Jesus Christ (II Thess. 2:8-11), and that he shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever and ever (Rev. 20:10).

HEAVEN AND HELL

I believe that the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at death immediately pass into His presence (II Cor. 5:8), but the souls of unbelievers shall be cast into the Lake of Fire.

CREATION

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, each after its own kind, by a direct act and not by the process of evolution (Gen. 1:2; Col. 1:16,17; Jn. 1:3).

CHURCH ORDINANCES

Baptism- I believe that Christian baptism is the believer’s immersion in water (Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 3:6; Jn. 3:23) into the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord’s Supper- I believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance and not a sacrament (Luke 22:1-20), that is to be shared in only by those who are consciously in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ by faith.
